October 21, 2017

Influenced by the likes of Johnny Lee Hooker and Muddy Waters, Rock & Roll hall of famers ZZ Top infuse their classic blues riffs with the spirited, often humorous pursuit of worldly pleasures; look no further for catchy tunes about fast cars, sharp clothes and good times.

With the face of a teenager and a deep, rich voice that belie his 34 years of age, the Emmy-winning John Mulaney is a relatively new kid on the comedy block, taking the scene by storm with his acerbic, intelligent observational humour. A writer for Saturday Night Live (see the hilarious 'Stefon' sketches) and star of his 2014 self-titled sitcom on Fox, Mulaney resonates with his generation as he weathers the climes of adulthood and uncertainty, all the while coming across as an adorable geek.

November 10, 2017

Join comedy legend John Cleese for an extra special screening of his hilarious slapstick adventure Monty Python and The Holy Grail, followed by a Q&A session with the man himself. It's the perfect time to find answers to burning questions such as 'What is the air speed of an unladen swallow?' as well as gain insight into Cleese's storied and vibrant career. Tally ho!

John Prine Poster

If there was any justice in the world, John Prine would be a household name. Playing in the Chicago folk scene of the early 70s, Prine was plucked from obscurity by Kris Kristofferson, an endorsement which helped to land him his first recording contract. Bob Dylan is also one of his biggest fans, terming Prine's work "pure Proustian existentialism". He's a singer who trades in life's little details, imbuing everyday existence with a kind of romantic grandeur. Now in his 60s, Prine is still going strong. It may be a while since his last record but he always seems to be on the road. He tends to tour with a very sparse backing band, leaving his words front and centre, just as they should be.
